Every child deserves to be safe, nourished and free to simply be a child. Yet across India's most vulnerable communities, children face risks that no child should have to navigate alone — hunger, abuse, labour, and marriage before they are ready. Anumay Foundation works to shield children from harm and give them the support they need to thrive.
Poverty puts children at risk in ways that are often invisible until it's too late. Malnutrition affects a child's growth and learning. Family and economic pressure can push children into labour or early marriage. Many children who experience abuse or neglect have nowhere safe to turn. Without active protection and support systems, the most vulnerable children fall through the cracks first.
Supplementary nutrition and health monitoring for at-risk and malnourished children.
Safe spaces and trained counsellors for children affected by abuse, neglect or trauma.
Identification, rescue support and rehabilitation for children pulled into labour, with a path back to school.
Community awareness and direct intervention to prevent child marriage and support girls at risk.
Working with local leaders, parents and schools to build watchful, responsive communities around every child.
We work closely with families, local leaders and community networks to build the nutrition support, counselling and protection systems that keep children safe. As our reach grows, we will continue to share the stories of the children and families we support.
A protected childhood is the foundation everything else is built on. When a child is safe, nourished and supported, they can focus on what childhood should be about — growing, learning and dreaming.
